Andar bahar online: rules and how a live round works

Andar bahar uses one 52-card deck. You do not hold any cards and you make no decisions after betting: you just pick a side. That makes it quick to learn and quick to play, so a budget matters more than with slower games.

Andar bahar rules in four steps

1. The middle card. The dealer turns one card face up in the centre. Some tables call it the game card or the joker.
2. Bets. You bet on Andar (inside) or Bahar (outside).
3. Dealing. The dealer deals cards one at a time, alternating between Andar and Bahar.
4. Result. As soon as a card of the same rank as the middle card appears, the side it landed on wins. Suits do not matter.

Why the first card matters

The side that gets the first card has a small head start. Because of that, many versions pay a little less than even money on that side. Which side starts, and the exact payout, depends on the table, so check the game's rules screen.

Side bets

Live tables often add side bets, for example on how many cards will be dealt before the match. They pay more because they are less likely. Treat them as the riskiest bets on the table.

Before you sit down

• Rounds are fast, so set a limit on the number of rounds as well as on money.
• Past results on the screen do not predict the next round.
• Play only where you are allowed to, and only if you are 18+.
